RONDINO is a member of the French Commission for Road Restraint Systems (RRS) and participate to the Working group of the European Committee TC226/ WG1 “Crash barriers, safety fences, guardrails and bridge parapets”.

The WG1 elaborate and revise the EN1317 standards.

European standards are still being revised, this table may not be update.

Since 1st July 2013 the Construction Product Regulation (CPR) requires that manufacturers make a Declaration of performance (DoP) of their products.

The Declaration of Performance (DoP) is the key concept in the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).

The DoP gives the manufacturer the opportunity to deliver the information about the essential characteristics of his product he wants to deliver to the market.

The manufacturer shall draw up a Declaration of Performance when a product covered by a harmonised standard (EN) or a European Technical Assessment (ETA) is placed on the market.

The manufacturer, by drawing up his DoP, assumes the responsibility for the conformity of the construction product with the declared performance.

On the basis of the information contained in the DoP, the user will decide to buy, amongst all the products available on the market, the one which is fit for the use he intends to give to such product and he assumes the full responsibility of such decision.

All our guardrails are CE marked according to EN1317 by notified body ASCQUER,
number of certificate N°1826-CPR-09-02-04.

The CE marking warranty the conformity of the product according to EN1317

•  Level of containment,

•  Performances criteria according crash-tests,

•  Tracability and marking of the product.

The CE marking does not warranty the durability of the product.
Each manufacturer has to declare its own durability and warranty.

For ensure best durability we RONDINO have decide to use Pinus Class 4 for the best durability of wood.

As European standard is not approved for terminals , here is below the recommendation for installation :
- Slope downTerminals according to construction disposition – see installation manual

- Absorbing terminals according XP ENV1317 :4 :2002 and certified by a notify body.

Terminals can’t be CE marked

As European standard is not approved for transition, some solutions of connections have been adapted according our experience and regulation in France. We have developed transitions according NF058 certified by ASCQUER notify body.
